Yingling Cider and Vinegar Mills

This is a view of Joseph P. Yingling’s Cider and Vinegar Mills in the village of Pleasant Valley. He had a 200+ acre farm with an extensive apple orchard, outside of the village. In addition, many farm families lined up around the mills on special days and had their own apples processed. The Yingling Mill also made apple butter for each family, according to their family recipe.
