Teeter Farm
1954. A Teeter Quarry truck from Willow Brook Farm in Taneytown stops by Sherwood Distillery, one of Maryland’s best-known rye distilleries, in Westminster. Constructed during World War II, Sherwood Distilleries had large glass windows that served as a mash-drying house that produced feed for cattle from the mash used in whiskey production.
Margaret Ann Roop and Katie Miller John are pictured in the dormitory where they attended the Maryland Collegiate Institute, later known as Blue Ridge College, in New Windsor. Margaret would later marry John S. Teeter on December 25, 1907.
