Stuart Peterson is pictured standing in the pit of one of the first ceramic milking parlors in Carroll County. The machine was purchased by his mother, Evelyn Peterson, who had come to Carroll County in 1955 to open up a dairy farm, after having never farmed before!
The state-of-the-art milking machine. Thanks to this, Evelyn and Stuart Peterson were able to milk 60 cows a day, three at a time, twice a day.
